PSG target Enzo Fernández could leave Chelsea if… | OneFootball

Enzo Fernández (25) is a long-term target for Paris Saint-Germain, and despite the Argentine’s long-term contract at Chelsea, one which the reigning European champions continue to pursue, according to L’Équipe.

Fernández’s deal at Stamford Bridge runs until 2032 and he remains a key part of the Premier League side’s plans. That was the case under former manager Enzo Maresca and that remains the case now under Liam Rosenior, even if the midfielder was initially disturbed by the managerial change at the start of the calendar year. Fernandez had been close with the Italian manager. 

But as Chelsea prepare to face PSG in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, L’Équipe report that, should the Premier League side fail to qualify for next season’s edition of the competition, Fernández could leave the club. 

Despite the Argentina international commending a high salary – and a high transfer fee – he may nonetheless become an opportunity and one that long-term suitors PSG could seize.
