The PSG vs Newcastle fixture, the last match of the Champions League league phase at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday at 21:00, is not causing concern for the police, and intelligence services have not flagged any previous issues between the clubs' supporters.

According to L'Équipe, the game is expected to be rated two out of five by the DNLH. That level indicates a potentially degraded context where disorder could occur, but is seen as linked to the European setting rather than specific risks.

Around 2,000 Newcastle fans are expected, along with possibly a small ticketless group planning to follow the game in a bar.

The Paris police prefecture has requested four units of mobile gendarmes and/or CRS to secure the stadium and surrounding area, with each unit comprising about 80 officers.

Additional officers will be on watch across the capital on Wednesday as is customary in case required.
