Queens Park Rangers host Sheffield United in the Championship on Saturday, 28 February 2026 at Loftus Road, with just two points between the sides and a chance to kick-start a climb up the table.
The head-to-head has been tight lately. The clubs drew 0-0 in November, and Sheffield United won 2-1 on their last visit to Loftus Road in March 2025.
Queens Park Rangers' form has swung sharply, from a 3-1 win at Hull to a 5-0 loss at Southampton in midweek. The Blades have three wins in five, including victory over Sheffield Wednesday, but were beaten 2-1 by Coventry last time out.
Team news could shape the contest. Queens Park Rangers are without Illias Chair, Karamoko Dembele, Rumarn Burrell and Nicolas Madsen, among others. Burrell has 10 league goals this season and Madsen has six assists. For the visitors, Kalvin Phillips is suspended, while Tom Davies, Jamie Shackleton and Sam McCallum are sidelined.
On the pitch, Gustavo Hamer leads the Championship for assists with 10 and may supply Patrick Bamford, who has eight league goals, as the Blades look to test a defence that has conceded 52. Queens Park Rangers deliver plenty from wide areas, with 426 open-play crosses at 18.78% accuracy and seven headed goals, so service into the box could be a route forward.
Queens Park Rangers sit 14th on 47 points and could move into the top half with a win. The Blades are 16th on 45 and, with victory taking them to 48, could close in on that group too.
