Raul Asencio has made it clear that he is not going anywhere. Despite growing interest from clubs in the Middle East, the young Real Madrid defender has decided to stay and fight for his place at the club.

As reported by Real Madrid Confidencial, Asencio is determined to prove his worth and turn things around after a difficult few months.

Last season, Asencio stood out with strong performances at centre-back and was even tipped as one of the most promising players in the youth ranks. But things changed during the Club World Cup, where he struggled badly.

Unforgettable outing at CWC

He made costly mistakes, conceding a penalty in one game, receiving a red card in another, and handing the opposition a goal in the final match he played.

These errors marked a steep decline from the player who once looked solid at the back.

Still, despite the poor tournament and uncertain future, Asencio is not giving up. As reported per the reports, he has rejected offers from Saudi Arabia that could have provided him with regular playing time.

For now, though, he is staying in Madrid, confident that he can bounce back and earn a new contract.

Determined to win back trust

Real Madrid are going through a period of transition, and for players like Asencio, that means nothing is guaranteed.

His recent form has weakened his case for a contract renewal, and playing time is already becoming scarce.

However, the defender is used to challenges. He has already fought his way up through the youth system and kept working hard even when Carlo Ancelotti didn’t seem to trust him.

Now, under Xabi Alonso, Asencio is aiming to show he can be more than just a bench option.

That is why his focus this season will be vital. He must play with intensity, avoid errors, and take every opportunity that comes his way.

It is not as easy as it sounds, but if he succeeds, he could still write a future for himself at Real Madrid.
