Real Madrid are taking a cautious approach with Antonio Rudiger’s recovery

In fact, as reported by MARCA, the German defender is not expected to return to the pitch until late November, with the club determined not to rush his comeback after a serious injury.

It must be noted that Rudiger suffered a thigh injury in September, something that will take around three months to heal.

However, the good news is that he has already started taking light steps around the training ground.

Despite these early signs of progress, though, Real Madrid’s medical team has drawn up a clear plan – no early return under any circumstances.

The target date for his full comeback remains the end of November at the earliest.

While the injury is undoubtedly a blow for both the player and the club, it might have a hidden benefit.

This time off has given Rudiger a rare chance to rest and reset mentally after a long stretch of relentless football last season.

Sources close to the club believe this time off will help him return in top form, both physically and mentally, something he has not fully achieved since before his string of fitness issues began.

When Rudiger eventually returns, Real Madrid expect to see the version of him that every fan remembers – commanding, consistent, and a true leader in defence.

Meanwhile, regarding his future, there is still no movement at the moment. Rudiger’s contract runs until 2026, and Real Madrid have yet to open talks about a renewal.

For now, both the club and the player share the same priority, which is to focus entirely on his recovery and ensure that when he does return, he’s at his absolute best.
