Eduardo Camavinga is experiencing a difficult period at Real Madrid.

His red card and dismissal against Bayern Munich last week came as the latest setback in a challenging campaign marked by injuries and inconsistency in his performances, both under Xabi Alonso and now under Alvaro Arbeloa.

Camavinga’s inconsistent season has led to speculation that he could be one of the players to leave in the upcoming transfer window, particularly as changes are expected after another season without titles.

Camavinga does not want to leave

However, according to MARCA, Camavinga has no intention of giving up or leaving Real Madrid.

The Frenchman understands that he is going through a tough phase – he was reportedly in tears after his sending-off against Bayern Munich.

However, despite speculation that Real Madrid are ready to part ways with him and have slapped a €70 million price tag on him, the 23-year-old midfielder is not considering the possibility of a departure.

Injuries, lack of regular minutes

Camavinga already missed the first four games of the new season due to an ankle injury. He managed to fight his way into Alonso’s team but just as his prominence was growing, the midfielder missed four more games in December due to a fresh ankle issue.

Under Arbeloa, he ended up missing a few matches due to dental infection, and with Thiago Pitarch gaining prominence during that time, Camavinga seemingly dropped down the pecking order.

So much so that he did not even start the second leg of the quarter-final tie vs Bayern Munich despite Aurelien Tchouameni being suspended.

So far, he has played 37 games (1969 minutes) in all competitions this term, scoring two and assisting one goal.

Contracted until the summer of 2029, Camavinga, for now, has no intentions of leaving Real Madrid. The former Rennes gem now has seven league matches remaining to recover his form and convince the club that he still has a lot to offer.
