Arda Guler has been one of the few beneficiaries of Xabi Alonso’s arrival at Real Madrid, for his prominence has skyrocketed compared to what it was under Carlo Ancelotti.

So far this season, the young Turkish star has already accumulated over 1600 minutes in 25 appearances across all competitions and is one of Xabi Alonso’s most-used players.

In fact, he already has three goals and seven assists to his name and is clearly repaying the manager for the faith instilled in him.

No transfer possible

As reported by Defensa Central in a recent update, several Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on Guler’s development, quality, and numbers, and have emerged as suitors for him on the transfer market.

Arsenal and Manchester City, in particular, have taken notice of him and are reportedly interested in signing him from Real Madrid.

They do not have any economic problems and are willing to offer as much as €65 million for him.

Real Madrid, however, have rejected the proposal outright and see the youngster as a vital part of their long-term project. He has been labelled untransferable for all practical purposes and will not be sold at any price.

The only scenario in which Real Madrid will be open to a sale is if Guler himself asks for a way out of the club, in which case they will not hold him back.

Even in such a situation, there is no possibility of him leaving for anything below the €100 million mark.

While the ongoing season has been good for the Turkish phenom, some criticism has been raised about his lack of physicality and poor performances on big nights, something he will look to work on alongside Alonso and improve upon.

After all, the competition for a starting spot in the attacking midfield is already unforgiving at Real Madrid and will only escalate further next season when Nico Paz is expected to return.
