A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid continued his remarkable run of Man of the Match prizes on Saturday.

The player in question? Kylian Mbappé.

Frontman Mbappé was for his part in from the off once more this evening.

As much came as Real Madrid turned focus back towards matters on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Espanyol.

When all was said and done, Xabi Alonso’s troops emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.

And the aforementioned Mbappé proved himself a key factor as to why.

After Éder Militão opened the game’s scoring in spectacular fashion, Los Blancos’ top scorer made it two during the 2nd-half, courtesy of a brilliant long-range effort of his own.

This came as the highlight of a fine all-round performance.

Mbappé, in turn, was handed the Man of the Match award following the full-time whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And in the process, the former Paris Saint-Germain standout continued his chokehold on the prize in Xabi Alonso’s squad.

All told, Mbappé has now won the best player accolade in five of Real Madrid’s six fixtures this season.
