Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé played no part in group training alongside the rest of the club’s squad on Sunday.

This comes owing to ongoing discomfort stemming from developments in Los Blancos’ latest outing.

Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops were back in action this past Friday, locking horns with Girona in a La Liga clash.

The aforementioned Mbappé featured from the off in the fixture, but was heavily criticised for the level of his disappointing performance.

Not only that, but en route to an eventual 1-1 draw, the Frenchman suffered a physical setback.

After feeling the force of an elbow in the face in the Girona penalty area, Mbappé went to ground in evident discomfort, with blood streaming from his brow.

And the pain, it would appear, has still not resolved for the former Paris Saint-Germain standout…

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

‘Mbappé has not trained due to discomfort stemming from the injury to his right eyebrow. The Frenchman received stitches after the match against Girona.’

Confidence remains that Mbappé will nevertheless be cleared in time to play his part against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this coming week.
