The powers that be at Real Madrid will be made aware of the future plans of managerial target Xabi Alonso in March of 2025.
That’s according to Marca, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of tactician Alonso has of course long proven a prominent one in the media chatter across all of Spanish football.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Real Madrid hierarchy consider the club’s one-time midfield star as the ideal long-term replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.
Alonso, who is currently plying his managerial trade with Bayer Leverkusen, rejected offers from both Liverpool and Bayern Munich over the summer.
As much gave hope to those at the Santiago Bernabéu that the 42-year-old could well be holding out for a reunion down the line.
And, if the latest word stemming from the press on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the situation should become altogether clearer following the turn of the year.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The time for decisions will come in March’, when Alonso will make public his plans for the 2025/26 campaign.
