Real Madrid unveil new green away kit for 2026-27 season | OneFootball

Real Madrid are going to start a very important 2026-27 season on 22nd August, when they will face RCD Espanyol at the RCDE-El Prat Stadium in their first La Liga game. The Merengues have done a lot of work during this summer to ensure they will return to winning ways during this season, and in addition to appointing a new coach, Jose Mourinho, have also brought in several new exciting players.

Los Blancos will take to the field during this season in a new jersey. They recently revealed their home kit, a white shirt with green logos and pink stripes on the shoulders.

As Diario AS has reported, Real Madrid have now unveiled their second kit as well. They have selected dark green as the base color, with off-white details, and white sponsor and club logos. The Adidas stripes on the shoulders are also white. The shirt itself features a subtle geometric pattern that builds into the club initials. The collar sports an innovative design.

Although not really common in their long history, this is not the first time Los Blancos are going to play in a green jersey. The first time they did so was back in 1965, when they had to play in borrowed green jerseys because of a clash of jersey colors with their opponents, River Plate, during a tour of South America.

The team also played in green jerseys for some games during the 2012-13 season, during Mourinho’s first spell at the club, but at that time, it was the team’s third jersey.

Three of the biggest stars in the team, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe, were selected as the main models to unveil this new jersey, while other players also featured in some photos.

The goalkeeper jersey has also been revealed, blue shirt with darker shade for club and sponsor logos. Thibaut Courtois showed off these new colors. Hopefully, Real Madrid will enjoy a lot of financial and sporting success with these shirts.
