Around 4000 away fans are expected and Spanish police remain on high alert due to Marseille’s troubled history in Spain including violent incidents against Atletico Madrid fans back in 2008.
Marseille's warned its traveling supporters of severe restrictions. Fans must gather at designated meeting point at 3 pm GMT.
before heading to the stadium. Only small bags without large straps, buckles or oversized power banks, will be allowed. Entry requires both ticket and ID checks ensuring exact name matches. According to RMC Sport.
The clash marks the return of the Champions league with Real Madrid aiming to begin strongly after last season’s quarterfinal exit to Arsenal.
Xabi Alonso’s side leads La liga with 4 straight wins boosted by Kylian Mbappe’s explosive form. The French forward has scored 10 goal in 16 previous meeting with Marseille and is expected to be the main threat again.
Game kicks off Tuesday at 6:00 pm GMT.
