Alba Redondo is ready to make waves in Italian football, following her move to Juventus. Having signed a contract until 30 June, 2028, the Spanish forward is raring to get going in black and white.
She has now given her first interview since making the move to Turin.
A WARM WELCOME
“I’ve had a really warm welcome here, it’s like I never left Spain. I’m so grateful to the entire Club, and I can’t wait to meet all my new teammates. When I spoke to the Club for the first time, I had no doubts. From the very first video call, they showed me incredible warmth and I felt wanted right away. The project they showed me is really interesting, and it’s why I didn’t think twice about coming here. I spoke to Estela Carbonell and Tatiana Pinto, whom I already know, and they described Juventus as an extremely professional club. They made it clear that I’d feel welcomed and loved here, just like I did at Levante. They’re really enjoying themselves in Turin, and I’m delighted to be reunited with them.”
ALBA’S STYLE
“I’d describe myself as a player with a strong work ethic. It’s true that I’m known for my goals, but I also play my part defensively, with assists, and through teamwork. I want to bring experience to the team, and I really want to help the young players coming up. Most importantly, I want to make the Juventus fans happy.”
A WINNING MENTALITY
“I want to spread positive energy, and I want my teammates to be able to count on me. Even with my experience, I’m the first person to want to learn from everybody else, and I’ll share everything I’ve learnt over the years with everybody here.”
PERSONAL GOALS
“My goal is to rediscover myself. Last season was a pretty tough one from a sporting standpoint, and I want to get back to being a player that has fun on the pitch, who connects with her teammates, and enjoys playing. The No.20 shirt has a meaning - on 20 August, 2023, we became world champions with Spain, and that’s why I wanted the number. It’s the first time I’ve ever worn it, and I want it to have a special meaning for me.”
