Chelsea are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on talented Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga according to reports.

The Blues once again heavily invested in the squad over the summer, and totally revamped their frontline with five new attacking signings.

The January window is now fast approaching and Chelsea have been linked with a number of players, although it’s expected the Blues will be quiet next month.

Chelsea eyeing move for Leicester youngster Jeremy Monga

Whilst it’s unlikely any first team players will arrive in January, some potential stars of the future could well arrive.

The Blues have already agreed a deal to sign 16-year-old Deinner Ordonez, who will join the club when he turns 18, and they’ve been linked with Marseille youngster Darryl Bakola.

However, it appears another name could be on their radar, and TEAMtalk have reported Chelsea are eyeing a move for Monga.

The report adds Manchester City are also interested in the 16-year-old, with Real Madrid said to be in the race.

TEAMtalk add Chelsea and City are believed to be amongst the front runners for the teenager, in what could be a fiercely contested race.

Chelsea have previously been linked with Monga, who’s regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, and he signed a new contract with Leicester in the summer.

The youngster is expected to pen his first professional contract when he turns 17 next year, which would put the Foxes in a strong negotiating position.

Geovany Quenda arriving next summer

Whilst Monga would very much be a signing for the future, the Blues have another winger arriving next summer in the form of Geovany Quenda.

The Blues agreed a deal for the teenager with Sporting Lisbon earlier this year, and Quenda is regarded as one of the best youngsters in the world in his position.

Chelsea have reportedly told Quenda he will be going into the first team squad to compete for minutes next season, and it will be very interesting to see how he does.
