Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby reportedly remains hopeful of joining Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.

According to the Italian media via FCInter1908, talks between the Nerazzurri and the Frenchman’s agent are ongoing.

Inter Milan saw their late January bid for the 26-year-old turned down by the Saudi Pro League giants.

Indeed, the Serie A powerhouse had hoped to sign the former Aston Villa forward on loan with an option to buy.

However, Al-Ittihad had no interest in selling the French star on unfavorable terms, having forked out €60 million to land him in 2024.

Despite the Saudis’ firm decline, Cristian Chivu’s men are still keen on Moussa Diaby.

Al-Ittihad could offload Diaby in the summer, as they hope to sign Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.

Furthermore, the Egyptian’s potential arrival would probably pave the way for Diaby’s exit.

Meanwhile, Inter are maintaining constant contacts with the player’s representatives heading into the summer transfer window.

Diaby is reportedly enthusiastic about continuing his career at San Siro. As such, he has already agreed to join the Nerazzurri.

However, Al-Ittihad would have to lower their demands to facilitate the transfer, as Inter are unwilling to match their current €40 million asking price.
