Serie A giants Inter Milan reportedly have no interest in signing outgoing Roma wingback Zeki Celik this summer.

According to L’Interista, the Nerazzurri won’t make a summer swoop for the Turkish star for several reasons.

Despite vying for a new wingback to replace Denzel Dumfries, whose future at San Siro remains uncertain, Inter are not interested in Ceilk.

Meanwhile, the former Lille defender will become a free agent in June. Indeed, Roma decided not to renew his expiring contract.

Therefore, he has emerged as a potential low-cost solution for Beppe Marotta, who is in the market for Dumfries’ long-term heir.

Inter had hoped to solve this issue when they splashed out €24 million to sign Luis Henrique from Olympique Marseille last summer.

However, the Brazilian winger has flopped in his first season in Serie A.

As such, the Nerazzurri remain on the lookout for a new wingback.

Despite his vast experience in Serie A, Celik wouldn’t fit Inter’s system and Oaktree Capital’s new transfer policy. Indeed, he turned 29 in February.

Furthermore, the Turk would likely command a hefty salary.
