Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly lodged a formal offer for Mechelen teenager Moncef Zekri. 

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have submitted a €4.2 million bid for the young gun.

Inter Milan are preparing for the future, as Cristian Chivu aims to rejuvenate his aging squad.

Indeed, the San Siro club will part ways with several veteran stars, including Matteo Darmian, at the end of the season.

Darmian’s impending exit threatens to deplete Chivu’s options on the flank. Therefore, Inter are in the market for a new wingback.

Furthermore, they’re actively searching for Denzel Dumfries’ successor.

Zekri has emerged as a concrete target for Inter, who have already opened talks with Mechelen over the youngster’s move to Serie A.
