Napoli reportedly made a late attempt to hijack Inter Milan’s deal to sign striker Ange-Yoan Bonny this summer.
This according to Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan signed Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma this summer.
The 21-year-old followed coach Cristian Chivu from the Gialloblu. He became Inter’s third summer signing after the likes of Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique.
Bonny has already scored his first goal for Inter.
The Frenchman was on the scoresheet as a substitute in Inter’s 5-0 opening day Serie A win over Torino.

Inter completed the deal to sign Bonny towards the end of June.
In truth, the Nerazzurri had been tracking the 21-year-old for quite a few weeks. Their interest in him actually predated their hiring of his former coach Chivu.
However, it did take some time for Inter to get the deal to sign Bonny over the line.
And in the meantime, Napoli were also looking at the France Under-21 striker as a target.
Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto reports that the Partenopei had even made a late effort to get in ahead of Inter in the race to sign Bonny.
However, by that point the Frenchman had already had an agreement with Inter.
