Inter Milan tried to sign Manchester United flop Rasmus Hojlund long before he completed his loan transfer to Napoli this summer.
According to Calciomercato via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri had a perfectly good reason to pull the plug on their pursuit of the Dane.
Despite spending much of the summer pursuing a new forward, Inter eventually gave up the idea of strengthening their frontline.
Therefore, Ange-Yoan Bonny was the only attacking signing in the summer transfer window.
However, Inter made a valiant attempt to sign Ademola Lookman and were considering purchasing Rasmus Hojlund.

Negotiations were underway between Inter and Man Utd over a loan deal for Hojlund when the Italians decided to pull out.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu convinced the club to give Francesco Pio Esposito the benefit of the doubt instead of landing Hojlund.
As a result, the Nerazzurri decided against continuing talks with the player and the club.
