FC Bayern are currently playing an impressive season and have one of the best attacking lines in the world. The transfers in recent years have definitely been a success offensively. An expert from England no longer understands the world in this respect
Michael Olise, Harry Kane, Luis Diaz: the three players who are currently impressing in FC Bayern’s attack with consistency at the highest level and breathtaking performances all came from the Premier League
For the record champions, the fact that they can sign some of the world’s best players from the best and financially strongest league is certainly an accolade – without the backing of a major investor and without incurring long-term debt
It is an absolute satisfaction for FC Bayern, especially because one or two experts were critical beforehand. There were reservations about the high sum for Kane in particular, but also about the Colombian Diaz, which are now a thing of the past. Diaz also played at a high level again in Paris on Tuesday
Micah Richards, a former Premier League player himself and pundit for CBS Sports, addressed the Diaz transfer on the show during the week and was stunned. „You’re telling me you (Liverpool FC) are selling Luis Diaz to keep Gakpo? Frankly, that’s not just a bad footballing decision – that’s an appalling life decision! That’s absolutely ridiculous!“

As if that wasn’t enough, Richards went further: „You’re sitting there watching Diaz at Bayern Munich right now and he’s just tearing things apart on the biggest stage! Electrifying! He hammers the ball into the net against Real Madrid and PSG and you’re just scratching your head thinking, ‚How the hell did Liverpool let that one get away?“
Richards received approval from ex-Liverpool star Jamie Carragher: „Luis Diaz was never the perfect player to sell in the summer – I still find it hard and frustrating to find an understandable reason to let him go. Players like that are hard to replace or find in the transfer market.“
