Rob Edwards says he is not planning to sell Jorgen Strand Larsen to Leeds United after Wolverhampton Wanderers turned down an offer.

According to Leeds Live, Leeds submitted a bid worth about £28m. Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have made enquiries, with Forest now appearing close to sealing a deal for Napoli’s Lorenzo Lucca.

Speaking before this weekend’s trip to Manchester City, Edwards said the proposal arrived earlier this week. He considered the offer below Wolves’ valuation. He added the Norwegian has trained well and will be in the squad tomorrow.

Edwards said Wolves are under no pressure to sell and want to stay as strong as possible this month. He added no one will leave unless it feels right and no player has asked to go, praising the squad’s desire to be here.

The approach was the latest turn in a January month that has linked Strand Larsen with several Premier League clubs.

Wolves also rejected a £55m offer from Newcastle in the summer. Since then he has scored one Premier League goal in 20 appearances this season.
