Brendan Rodgers Rodgers has been confirmed as the new manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah.

Rodgers, previously in charge of sides such as Liverpool and Leicester City, left Celtic in October after guiding the club to consecutive league titles in his second spell. His departure was overshadowed by controversy, with majority shareholder Dermot Desmond accusing him of behaviour that was “divisive, misleading, and self-serving”.

At Al-Qadsiah, Rodgers succeeds former manager Michel, who departed after more than two years at the helm.

The squad he inherits features ex-Real Madrid defender Nacho and Italy striker Mateo Retegui. Al-Qadsiah currently sit fifth in the Saudi top flight after nine matches.
