Real Madrid entertained Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 28th minute when Rodrygo found the back of the net. However, Nico O’Reilly equalised for the visitors in the 35th minute before Erling Haaland put Man City 2-1 ahead just before the half-time break. Xabi Alonso’s men were trailing 2-1 at half-time.
The Madrid giants failed to make a comeback in the second half and crashed to a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.
