Significant news is looming on the commercial front for Roma. Tomorrow, at 1:30 PM, a press conference will be held in the press room at the Fulvio Bernardini Sports Center in Trigoria to present a new sponsor.
Michael Gandler, the Giallorossi’s Chief Revenue Officer, will outline the details and scope of the partnership.
The announcement is highly anticipated, as it comes at a time when sponsorship management has been considered a critical issue in the US presidential administration, which has historically focused on infrastructure investments such as the new stadium project.
In recent years, Roma has struggled to maximize sponsorship revenue, a shortcoming that, for a club under UEFA scrutiny, could prove costly.
The team began the season with a bare shirt after the expiration of its contract with Riyadh Season—which guaranteed €12.5 million—repeating a scenario already seen in 2023 following Digitalbits’ failure to honor its agreements.
While clubs in Italy and Europe are enriching themselves thanks to lucrative partnerships, the capital has lagged behind.
As reported by Calcio e Finanza, northern clubs are benefiting from significant deals: AC Milan (Emirates), Inter (Betsson), and Juventus (Jeep/Visit Detroit) each earn approximately €30 million. Many clubs, including Juventus, Fiorentina, and Bologna, are also using “related parties” to optimize their agreements. The only clubs that have yet to find a shirt partner are the two Roman clubs: Roma and Lazio.
