Roy Keane is adamant Arsenal will clinch the Premier League title this season, despite Sunday’s 2-1 loss at Manchester City. 

The Gunners went into the pivotal top-of-the-table clash six points clear at the summit. 

Their lead has been reduced to just three points, with City also having a game in hand.

Rayan Cherki showed excellent footwork and skill to put his side ahead in the 18th minute. 

Kai Havertz quickly restored parity as he pounced on an error by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. 

Both sides threatened to score before Erling Braut Haaland fired home from close range after the hour mark to seal a thrilling victory. 

City can leapfrog Arsenal in the league table if they beat Burnley on Wednesday. 

Despite the shift in momentum, former Manchester United star Keane is sticking with his prediction that Arsenal will win the Premier League. 

He told Sky Sports: “I don’t care. I am going to stick with Arsenal – of course I am going to stick with them. No doubt the belief is not as strong as it was before the game.

“City have got the momentum, but I am going to have to stick with Arsenal because I called them at the start of the season.”

Sunday’s result was harsh on Arsenal, who competed with City throughout the game. 

They put the hosts under pressure late on, and Havertz had a big chance to equalise in stoppage time. 

The German headed over the bar after Leandro Trossard delivered an excellent ball. 

Mikel Arteta’s side are no longer in control of the title race, but they still have a good chance of ending their league trophy drought. 

Arsenal will return to action on Saturday when they welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium.
