Russell Martin makes Rangers all about him again amid ‘hurt’ criticism

Having not learned a damn thing from last time, Rangers head coach Russell Martin has announced he feels ‘hurt’ by the criticism aimed at him, calling it ‘difficult’.

Emotion

Just like some weeks ago when he described the same emotion after yet another bad result, Martin seems to have a way of making Rangers all about him, repeating a trend he’s offered since taking up the position.

Martin, to us, screams of a man so bewilderingly out of his depth, Loch Lomond not withstanding, but beyond delusional about that and believes he’s the right man.

Of course he hasn’t been the right man pretty much for any of his jobs to date but he’s even wronger for Rangers.

Attention

Now in fairness Ibrox Noise, like most fans, tends not to pay too much attention to the man’s comments, we rely on others doing that for us. In truth, we really can’t listen to him for very long before either feeling nauseous or bored. Or both. Hence he may have actually been asked for his feelings directly.

In fairness that was our reaction to his initial unveiling as well.

But learning of his feeling hurt and his difficulties handling the criticism rather highlights how staggeringly inappropriate he is to be in the position he has.

Fed up

Rangers fans are beyond fed up with Russell Martin – he is the least popular in Rangers’ history and the least wanted. Celtic fans are huge backers of him which tells you all you need to know, sadly.

Yes, there have been discussions about a new manager, but for now the public line is complete and total backing for this guy.

Might just change should the side lose again this weekend, mind you…
