Arrigo Sacchi is delighted with Kevin De Bruyne’s performance in Napoli’s 2-1 win over Sporting CP: ‘Believe me, he’ll never be a problem for Napoli.’
The Belgian ace inspired Rasmus Hojlund’s brace with two assists last night.
KDB had made headlines for the wrong reason a few days earlier, publicly complaining about a substitution during an away game at Milan and receiving a warning from Antonio Conte.

“Anyone who thought that after the controversy at San Siro, something had broken between De Bruyne and Conte has probably changed their mind,” Sacchi wrote in his column for Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We’re talking about a world-class player who can make mistakes like anyone else, but then he has the strength to get back on track and go in the right direction.

“Believe me, De Bruyne will never be a problem for Napoli, but rather a resource to make the most of. The proof of my impression is the assist for Hojlund’s second goal.”
De Bruyne joined Napoli on a free transfer from Manchester City this summer and has already collected three goals and two assists in seven appearances across all competitions.
Napoli lost the opening Champions League game of the season against Manchester City, but now have three points in two matches.

“I consider Conte’s team the most ‘European’ in terms of style of play and mentality, among the Serie A representatives,” Sacchi continued.
“Now, it’s only a matter of catching their breath, regaining energy and continuing their run in the league while waiting for the international break. In such an intense season, it’s crucial to know how to manage the players’ energy.”
Despite Sunday’s loss against Milan, Napoli remain the table leaders alongside the Rossoneri and Roma.
Their next match is against Genoa at the Stadio Maradona this coming Sunday.
