Roma wide-man Alexis Saelemaekers discussed his intense experience in the Italian capital.

In an interview with A casa dei campioni, a new column in partnership between Roma and Idealista, Saelemaekers recounted his highlights at Roma so far.

“On the day I arrived I found an environment that welcomed me with great affection and fans who supported me right away,” recounted the Belgian.

“The Derby against Lazio is one of the most representative in Italy and the joy of having won it was enormous. I really like being in Rome. I found an environment that welcomed me with great affection and fans who supported me right away. This was very important for me.”

He added, “Scoring in the Derby was incredibly emotional because these games mean a lot to the fans. For us footballers, they are an extra motivation precisely because we know how important it is on an emotional level.”
