Santos hit six to seal last spot as Paulistão 2026 quarter-finals set

The first phase of the 2026 Paulistão ended on Sunday, confirming eight quarter-finalists and two relegated clubs. Santos thrashed Velo Clube 6-0 to finish eighth on 12 points, securing the last spot to face Novorizontino.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Novorizontino topped the standings on 16 points, with Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino also on 16. Portuguesa were fourth on 15. Those four will host the one-off quarter-finals.

Corinthians finished fifth and will play Portuguesa. São Paulo took sixth and will meet Red Bull Bragantino. Capivariano ended seventh on 13 points and will face Palmeiras.

Velo Clube were relegated to Série A-2 alongside Ponte Preta.

Final round results: Botafogo 0-1 Capivarano, Primavera 3-3 Noroeste, Mirassol 1-2 Portuguesa, Palmeiras 1-1 Guarani. Ponte Preta 1-2 São Paulo, Red Bull Bragantino 3-0 Novorizontino, Santos 6-0 Velo Clube, São Bernardo 0-1 Corinthians.
