According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have extended attacking midfielder Evelin Bonifácio's contract to the end of 2027, with the deal registered on the CBF's BID on Thursday five March. A standout for the Sereinhas da Vila, she is already with the Sereias' senior squad.

She said she is delighted to be at a giant club and that her first professional goal rewarded hard work.

President Marcelo Teixeira called the renewal a key step in strengthening Santos' women's programme. He praised her talent and academy pathway, noted outside interest, and said her choice to stay reflects belief in the club's project.

Women's football coordinator Thais Picarte said Bonifácio epitomises the pathway from the Baixada, developing inside the club. She described her as a leading prospect, adding the club made a big push to renew and intend to polish that diamond while building a team to compete for titles.

Born in Peruíbe, Bonifácio excelled in Baixada Santista futsal and later joined the Peixe academy in 2023. She has been a regular in Brazil youth selections.

She debuted for the first team in a 2-2 draw with São Paulo at Vila Belmiro in the eighth round of the Paulistão on three September last year, then scored her first senior goal against Red Bull Bragantino in November. She has trained with Arthur Elias's senior Brazil group, won the South American Under-20 this year, featured at last year's South American Under-17 and the Under-17 World Cup, and is sponsored by Nike.
