Santos to meet Novorizontino in Paulista quarter-finals, other ties set

Santos booked a place in the 2026 Campeonato Paulista quarter-finals with a 6-0 win over Velo Clube on Sunday the 15th at Vila Belmiro, setting up an away tie against Novorizontino.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the match will be played next weekend, on Saturday or Sunday, at Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi. Novorizontino, who topped the first phase, will host thanks to a better campaign than Santos.

The teams have met already in 2026, in Santos’s opening match at Vila Belmiro, where the hosts came from behind to win 2-1 through Thaciano and Gabigol.

After beating Velo Clube, head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda said the first objective was to qualify, noted that anything can happen in a one-off tie, and added they will go ready to fight for the title.

The quarter-final fixtures are: Novorizontino v Santos, Palmeiras v Capivariano, Bragantino v São Paulo, Portuguesa v Corinthians.
