The former Nottingham Forest manager has answered the all-important question.

Sean Dyche has forged a reputation for his no-nonsense approach to football management and his status as a man of the people.

The 55-year-old has been without a club since February this year, when he was sacked as Nottingham Forest boss just four months into the job.

Since then, Dyche has appeared regularly on football shows, talking about everything from the beautiful game to mental health and music.

Indeed, the Kettering-born man has now been quizzed on his favourite pints, and he has had some trouble narrowing it down to his top three.

Many are wondering where Dyche will show up next, but given how much he appears to be revelling in the media, that might not come any time soon.

The 55-year-old has been in management for 15 years, having begun his career with Watford, where he spent just over a year in the job.

However, Dyche is most synonymous with Burnley, whom he took charge of for a staggering 425 matches, with a local pub even named in his honour.

He then spent two years with Everton, keeping them in the Premier League despite their financial issues and delivering 35 points for Forest that helped them swerve the drop.

While he avoided drinking in the Royal Dyche during his time as Burnley manager, he did visit after leaving the club and has given clues to what he may have drunk in a recent interview.

"Pints! Oooh, it's a tough one because you know I love vitamin G (Guinness), but as you know, I'm a bit of a lager fan really as well," he told talkSPORT when asked to name his favourite three pints.

"There's some with a bite in it. Say like a nice Moretti and San Miguel and all that sort of stuff, and then there's easy-drinking lager like you say, like a Fosters is a great pint; it's a nice easy-drinking lager.

"Do you know what lager I'm going to put my name to? There's two side-by-side, Kingfisher and Cobra. Love a Kingfisher and a Cobra, but not really in order; there's so many good ones out there.

"I'm not playing the game. I mean it, sincerely; there are so many good ones out there now that if you go to a free house you've got a choice. An extra cold pint of vitamin G has to be in there."

Where might Dyche rock up next?

Towards the end of last season, Dyche was linked with the Tottenham job as they faced the prospect of Premier League relegation, but whether he was ever in contention is unknown.

There have been a host of managerial changes already this summer, but the top-flight clubs that have appointed new head coaches have tended to opt for managers with more modern playing styles.

If the 55-year-old is to land another Premier League job, then it feels as though it would come towards the bottom end of the division where clubs are battling relegation.

There is also a chance he could move to a club towards the top of the Championship, and if there are any bigger clubs not meeting expectations, then he would present an attractive option.

If his media appearances are anything to go by, it seems he is relaxed about the prospect and is in no rush to return to the dugout any time soon. Instead, he might well be sampling some of his favourite pints.
