Sidny Lopes Cabral drew attention before Benfica’s game with Casa Pia by spending stretches of the warm-up on his own, a personal matchday habit rather than any sign of exclusion.
According to Glorioso 1904, the winger chooses to keep to himself on matchdays to stay concentrated and avoid distractions before kick-off.
Despite that reserved image, he remains on good terms with the squad and is particularly close to Leandro Barreiro, Dodi Lukebakio and Franjo Ivanovic in the dressing room.
Outside matchdays, he is fully integrated with team-mates.
He wants more minutes as he looks to establish himself and arrive in strong condition for the 2026 World Cup with Cabo Verde.
He recently impressed with one goal and two assists in games against Chile and Finland.
This season, across spells at Estrela da Amadora and Benfica, he has made 28 competitive appearances, 23 in Liga Portugal Betclic, two in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga.
In 1,835 minutes on the pitch, he has six goals and six assists, and is valued at five million euros.
