Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday sent a collective transfer message the way of the club’s board.
This comes owing to developments in the international showdown between Spain and Portugal.
The finale of the Nations League is of course currently being contested at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Spain, as expected, have looked dangerous on almost every occasion they break forward, with the likes of Lamine Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal playing starring roles.
It is another member of La Roja’s frontline, though, who has found his name on the lips of many a Barcelona fan late this evening.
The player in question? Nico Williams.
Wide-man Nico was afforded his latest starting berth against Portugal, from his customary berth on the right flank.
And the Athletic Club standout has been arguably the most dangerous on the pitch.
Making use of an impressive combination of pace, touch and directness, Nico has caused João Neves a whole host of problems down the Portuguese left.
So much so that, after a summer-long pursuit of the 22-year-old’s signature in 2024, the Barcelona faithful have called on Joan Laporta and the club’s board to reignite as much with a view to next season:
