Apparently, there are some in Chelsea’s board room who want Frank Lampard and John Terry back at the club.

I mean, if they want to give fans something to celebrate and get them on side again, then this would be a smart move. I’m sure many Chelsea fans would love Lampard back at the club, especially if it was alongside Terry. Those are two absolute club legends right there. Some would also be a bit sceptical about that though and would be against it. I think overall though, some nostalgia baiting might work quite well right about now!

The report is all around new managers, and it says that Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth has become the front runner. But it also mentions Terry and Lampard.

They state that whispers from inside the club’s boardroom suggest some voices are actively pushing for the return of absolute club icons John Terry or Frank Lampard, hoping their legendary status alone can inject some desperately needed fighting spirit into a fragile dressing room.

Robert Sanchez was a key figure in Chelsea’s cup win yesterday, and he got some well earned praise from his manager at full time. Callum McFarlane says Sanchez’s saves were massive yesterday!

McFarlane has also explained his tactical approach in the lead up to the game and how they looked to use Sanchez, as well as ‘athletes’ to unlock Leeds.
