Bournemouth are also said to be keen on the Welshman and could come in with their own offer.

But the Cherries also hold interest in Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu according to the Daily Mail, with Andoni Iraola facing the prospect of replacing Antoine Semenyo should he depart.

Manchester City are said to be closing in on a full agreement for the signing of Semenyo, with Sky Sports reporting that the final details of his £65m release clause are being sorted between the clubs.

Personal terms are also close to being agreed and no club is expected to come in and hijack the deal, the report adds.

The signing of Semenyo could mean Oscar Bobb leaves City this month, with Sky Sports reporting that Borussia Dortmund are keen on a deal for the Norway youngster.

A deal is expected to be an initial loan with any permanent transfer to be discussed, but they face competition from Premier League sides too.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail say that Aston Villa and Everton are also among those keen on Spurs’ Johnson.

And Everton are said to be targeting more additions in January, with the I claiming that Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee are potential loan targets for David Moyes.
