Sunderland’s travelling support were in full voice at Villa Park as Régis Le Bris’ side lost 4-3 to Aston Villa.
According to Sunderland Echo, the away end matched the chaos on the pitch, keeping up the noise from first whistle to last.

Despite early setbacks, the Black Cats were urged on throughout by their fans. A late surge briefly made it 3-3, triggering jubilant scenes in the away section.
Aston Villa then struck late to seal victory, yet the travelling contingent continued to sing and applauded the effort shown by Le Bris’ players.
