Sunderland are being linked with Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa, with the player discussing his openness to future options. The Black Cats’ recruitment drive follows last month’s qualification for next season’s Europa League.
La Gazette du Fennec reports that Sunderland are among several Premier League sides keeping tabs on the 24-year-old, who hit 11 goals and six assists in 30 Eredivisie games. Chelsea, Newcastle United, Liverpool and Bournemouth are also credited with interest, and Benfica are said to be keen.
Hadj Moussa made headlines this week by scoring against the Netherlands in a pre-World Cup friendly, beating Sunderland number one Robin Roefs.
“I'm still under contract with Feyenoord. As long as that's the case, the answer is no. But in life, and therefore also in football, you never know what the future holds. Maybe I'll leave, maybe I'll stay; neither of us knows at the moment." he told Algemeen Dagblad.
“I'm open to all options. Maybe Feyenoord wants to sell me, maybe not. We'll see. If I were to leave, I'd prefer to go to England. I think I could also play in Spain with my style of play. Or in France. They're also fantastic footballing nations. But the Premier League is the best league in the world."
TEAMtalk claims that Sunderland have made contact over AIK winger Zadok Yohanna, 19. The teenager is also being monitored by Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace.
