These nine players are set to be absent from the Championship outing on Tuesday night
Birmingham City will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing away defeat to Coventry City, as they take on struggling Sheffield Wednesday under the lights at St Andrew's on Tuesday night.
The Blues haven't tasted a league defeat on home soil since they were last relegated from the Championship over a season ago. After losing convincingly against a side they would like to be challenging at the top of the table, a matchup against a shorthanded Wednesday side may be a good way to get back on track.
However, the Owls have travelled well so far in this season's infancy, winning, drawing, and losing one in three games. Their one defeat came on opening day against Leicester City, a game in which they led.
It's sure to be an entertaining clash at St Andrew's, but these 11 men definitely won't be partaking in any of it due to injury or suspension.
Chris Davies will be without seven players ahead of this Tuesday's matchup with Sheffield Wednesday, three of whom have a new issue picked up in their 3-0 defeat to Coventry last time out.
It was a tough day out for the Blues on Saturday, made worse by Jack Robinson picking up two yellow cards in the space of eight first-half minutes, resulting in his dismissal and, therefore, suspension against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.
Otherwise, the four players who were on the treatment table for Coventry aren't expected to feature, plus another couple of players who picked up injuries against the Sky Blues, too.
Marvin Ducksch was set to start against Frank Lampard's side before withdrawing in the warm-up due to a leg injury, and Ethan Laird's hamstring was tweaked over-stretching for a shot over the weekend, so both are unlikely to feature.
It was revealed last week that Willum Willumsson and Keshi Anderson would not feature until after the October international break due to unspecified muscle injuries.
And both Lee Buchanan and Scott Wright are still recovering from long-term knee injuries. Neither has featured for Chris Davies' side this season, with Wright's last appearance coming in February, and Buchanan last playing in December.
There are a few possible returnees to the Sheffield Wednesday camp ahead of Tuesday's game at St Andrew's, most notably Nathaniel Chalobah, who returned to training last week.
Both the 30-year-old, who hasn't played since the opening day, and Reece Johnson, who missed a few weeks after suffering an injury in their EFL Cup defeat to Grimsby Town, were back on the grass, but Saturday's draw against QPR was too soon for a return, so perhaps Tuesday night may be the game that the Owls welcome them back.
Otherwise, Pierce Charles (shoulder), Olaf Kobacki (groin), Di'Shon Bernard (knee) and Gui Siqueira (Achilles) will remain on the treatment table ahead of Tuesday's game.
There may be some concerns about the availability of Earnie Weaver, after he limped off against QPR on Saturday, but Henrik Pedersen wasn't able to give a confident assessment of a potential injury after the match. Therefore, he remains a doubt, but not a confirmed absentee.
