La Liga champions Barcelona will be forced to make do without the contributions of six players in their upcoming meeting with Elche.

This comes owing to respective injury problems.

Starting in goal, both summer signing Joan García and long-term absentee Marc-André ter Stegen have long been ruled out for the evening.

In defence, Andreas Christensen will sit out his third outing in succession whilst dealing with a calf complaint.

In midfield, the long-term absence of Gavi was added to this week by compatriot Pedri, set for an extended incoming spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

And last up comes Raphinha, not expected to return until the far side of the international break after suffering a series of setbacks in recovery from his own muscular issue.

On a more positive note, both Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski are back at the disposal of manager Hansi Flick, officially cleared for competitive action on Sunday morning.
