The Blues had a quiet January, but are once again expected to be busy this summer with a number of areas of the squad needing to be addressed.

Chelsea are reportedly still in the market for a centre back, whilst it’s believed they want to add another midfielder and attacker.

Chelsea want players with top league experience

The Blues have been heavily criticised for their youth focused recruitment policy, which has been in place since the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital takeover in 2022.

However, co-owner Behdad Eghbali has stated the model will be tweaked, but fans will only believe that when they see it.

The Blues were linked with Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon on Tuesday, and The Athletic have reported Chelsea want players this summer who’ve played in top leagues, and are used to playing in four competitions per season.

The report adds they are also looking for players who are emotionally mature and have strong character.

Chelsea have also been linked with Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, whilst they are said to hold long term interest in both Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton.
