Real Madrid, PSG, Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter are among the European giants who won’t be boasting a historic invincible campaign in 2025-26.
In fact, there’s only one team left unbeaten across Europe’s five major leagues – the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Premier League and La Liga. That’s quite unusual for early November, when you usually have a handful of elite clubs still dreaming of emulating Arsenal’s unforgettable 2003-04 achievement.
Here are 2025-26’s last remaining Invincibles.
Believe it or not, but for all their domestic dominance over the years, Bayern Munich have never completed a full league campaign unbeaten.
Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen became the first side in history to claim that rare Bundesliga honour the season before last.
The Bavarian giants have been blessed with more depth in the past, which might be their undoing as they look to navigate multiple fronts later in the campaign – and perhaps that explains why they are only fifth favourites in the Champions League odds – but right now Vincent Kompany’s first-choice XI is making short work of every test.
Not only are Bayern unbeaten, but they’ve won every game… in all competitions.
“He’s doing an incredibly good job,” Bayern president Herbert Hainer said of manager Vincent Kompany, who recently signed a contract extension.
“We’re playing very attractive football, scoring lots of goals. The team is having fun, you see that on the pitch – but after the games as well. There’s an incredible sense of togetherness. That comes from the coach, who does that brilliantly – both from a sporting and personal point of view.”
“I think he’s made this group into not only a team, but a team with fun. We have a special spirit in the team. That’s a joy to see and it spreads to the whole club,” added CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
Special team. Could they go and make history this season? Watch this space.
