Cole Palmer is part of a new generation of “untouchables” who Chelsea have no interest in selling according to journalist Matt Law.

The England international joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from Manchester City in a deal worth around £40m, and has made a huge impact at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer has scored 48 goals and registered 29 assists in 110 appearances for the Blues, and is one of the most important players at the club.

However, the England international has struggled with a groin injury this season, and missed virtually the entire first half of the campaign.

Palmer returned in the defeat to Leeds in December, and has scored three goals since he came back from injury, but he’s clearly not fully fit.

One of Liam Rosenior’s biggest tasks is getting Chelsea’s star man back to his best, and there have been reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Fabrizio Romano has moved to clarify Chelsea’s stance on Palmer, and now Matt Law has reported in The Telegraph that Palmer is part of a new generation of “untouchables” who the club have no interest in cashing in on.

The report adds the attacker is under contract with the Blues until 2033, and there’s not believed to be any clauses in that deal.

Whilst the Blues are trying to get the Englishman back to his best, the club are reportedly looking to bring in another attacker.

Chelsea already have Geovany Quenda and Emmanuel Emegha arriving from Sporting Lisbon and Strasbourg respectively at the end of the season.

Another attacker could well be back-up for Palmer in the number ten position given Chelsea don’t currently have that position filled in the squad.
