Thomas Partey
The next 24 hours promise to be packed for Thomas Partey.
Ghanaian star Thomas Partey finds himself at the heart of an unusual schedule. The Black Star will first play in the Champions League for Villarreal before appearing in court just a few hours later. The player faces accusations of five counts of rape and one sexual assault, and is due to appear Wednesday morning at Southwark Crown Court to answer these charges.
Nevertheless, this Tuesday evening, Thomas Partey is included in Villarreal’s squad that will take on Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the opening matchday of this season’s Champions League. For his coach Marcelino, Partey is: "completely prepared both mentally and technically. For sure, he’ll be ready. We are truly happy to have Thomas with us for both his footballing ability and his presence as a person. He’s a great player, with a wealth of experience, having played at top clubs."
