England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his 35-man squad for the March international break.

With a place in the 2026 World Cup already secured, England only have friendly commitments to navigate before June’s showpiece gets underway.

The Three Lions will lock horns with Uruguay on March 27 before facing Japan four days later.

Following Manchester United’s resurgence under Michael Carrick, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have earned high-profile recalls.

Everton’s James Garner has earned his first senior call-up, while Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento return to bolster the full-back positions – the latter is set to profit from Reece James’ absence.

In attack, the competition to understudy Harry Kane has taken a surprising turn. Leeds United’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin has received his first call-up in five years, pipping a struggling Ollie Watkins to a spot in the group.
