The winter transfer window is expected to be a very quiet one at Real Madrid with no major activity expected apart from the recent loan departure of Endrick.
Even though there are some glaring issues in the squad that need to be addressed, the management will not make any additions midway through the campaign and will wait until the summer to assess the situation.
While some notable additions are expected in the summer, most likely in central defence and midfield, there may even be some surprise exits.
David Alaba is expected to be on the move in the summer when his contract expires. But, it is not ruled out that there are a few high-profile departures as well.
Indeed, according to Rodra on ESPN, the key trio of Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Jr., and Antonio Rudiger are all staring at ‘very uncertain’ futures at Real Madrid heading into 2026.

As things stand, none of their futures at the club beyond the current season are guaranteed and it will be a major factor in how Real Madrid approach the summer window.
Vinicius’ contract situation has become a major distraction for both the player and the club. While both parties wish to finalise an agreement, neither is willing to move from their financial demands, making the situation uncomfortable.
As for Carvajal and Rudiger, both have contracts that expires on June 30, 2026. At this moment, extensions for the veteran defensive pair are not ruled out.
However, it is also possible that both decide to step aside and finish their careers away from top-level football in destinations like Saudi Arabia or Qatar, given their regular physical issues of late.
So, it goes without saying that Real Madrid have some major decisions to make in the coming months, revolving three of their most important players in the squad.
