FC Bayern are already working intensively on the squad for the coming season – and after the first departures have been confirmed, more players could be leaving Säbener Straße. Internally, the route seems to be clearly defined
With Leon Goretzka, Raphael Guerreiro and loan player Nicolas Jackson, three departures have already been confirmed. The trio will officially say goodbye on Saturday before the Bundesliga home game against 1. FC Köln
However, the personnel changes at the record champions are far from over
As SPORT1 reporter Stefan Kumberger reports in the podcast Die Bayern-Woche, three other names in particular are on the sales list internally: Alexander Nübel, Joao Palhinha and Sacha Boey
The background is primarily of an economic nature: „The mission is clear: Bayern want to gain financial leeway and create space for new players,“ explained Kumberger
The supervisory board in particular should place great emphasis on further streamlining the salary structure and at the same time freeing up the transfer budget for targeted reinforcements
Sports director Max Eberl is under particular scrutiny. After internal criticism of high salary structures and costly squad ideas, the 52-year-old is now expected to prove that he can combine sporting quality with economic rationality

One problem for Bayern: the three candidates for sale all still have long-term and lucrative contracts
According to SPORT1, the situation with Sacha Boey is particularly complicated. The French right-back was first signed from Galatasaray for around 30 million euros, but has never been able to establish himself in Munich
Bayern are now apparently hoping for new interested parties, but the offer from Istanbul so far is said to be far below the record champions‘ expectations. „The five million euros offered by the Turks is of course far too little,“ says Kumberger
Joao Palhinha is also hardly playing a sporting role under Vincent Kompany. The Portuguese was originally seen as the desired transfer for the defensive midfield, but has so far failed to meet expectations
The situation with Alexander Nübel seems to be the clearest, with Manuel Neuer’s impending contract extension and the strong development of Jonas Urbig pointing to a permanent departure for the 29-year-old
According to SPORT1, there is also a strained relationship between Neuer and Nübel, with the current goalkeeper constellation of Neuer, Urbig, Sven Ulreich and Leonard Prescott said to be very happy internally
One thing is clear: FC Bayern will not only be talking about new transfers in the summer – there is also likely to be some movement on the departures side.
