We're returning from the international break with a home game and aiming for our third win after two consecutive Bundesliga victories. In our path are SCR Altach, who, in contrast to us, are fresh from two consecutive defeats. It kicks off at 14:30 CEST on Sunday, October 19th, at our home of the Red Bull Arena.
Under former Liefering coach Fabio Ingolitsch, who has now been head coach of Altach for over a year, the visitors improved considerably and can bask in a relatively successful start to the season, which has taken them to sixth place after nine matches. The Vorarlberg team have been efficient at gaining points - only scoring six goals to earn their twelve points. No other Bundesliga team has managed that this millennium, even if that statistic somewhat reveals the visitors' attacking problems.
Ingolitsch's XI demonstrated last season that they can give us a tough fight. We hosted Altach at home at this stage of last season, winning 2-1 thanks to Edmund Baidoo's debut goal just before the final whistle. A 1-1 draw followed away in the spring.
Now we definitely want another win. If you haven't secured your spot yet, you can do so in the online Ticket Shop. Everything you need to know about your stadium visit can be found in our matchday info:
After a few days off, which were very beneficial and allowed us to unwind a bit, we've used the last few days to work on our fundamentals and prepare for SCR Altach. Altach are a team that often plays quite differently in terms of their starting line-up, but overall, they defend very well as a team. They have demonstrated this well by conceding only six goals. We have to prepare for it to be a very intense game and bring the necessary energy to the pitch to succeed.

Of course, you enjoy the days off with your family. I think it was enough to return to the training ground full of energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of anticipation, especially now that the next block of fixtures is starting, and we now have a good chance of continuing the run after the wins against Tirol and Rapid. We're facing Altach, which certainly won't be an easy match. But we're playing in front of our own fans and want to go out with confidence and an absolute will to win. I hope you'll see that in each one of us.

The upcoming home match against Altach is one that will be played under special circumstances. With the motto STRONG TOGETHER, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for everyday heroes and have invited many people, clubs, and initiatives that are always there for others to this match. Many rescue workers, charitable organizations, and social initiatives, such as various fire departments, the Red Cross, Caritas, mountain and water rescue services, etc., will be at the Red Bull Arena on Sunday and will be able to enjoy a special football experience together.
This also fits in with the Fair Play Action Weeks, which have been organised for many years by the Austrian Football Bundesliga and its clubs. This time, they run under the title 'Violence is not a game' from 1 to 31 October 1 2025, and during which time everyone is called upon to take a stand against violence, sexism and hatred. Violence, especially against women, is still commonplace in our society. We must work together and decisively to combat this!
