Sunderland winger Timur Tutierov is set for a January loan move, with Exeter City emerging as the likely destination.

According to Football24, the 20-year-old is close to completing a switch to St James Park for the remainder of the season as Sunderland seek regular senior minutes for him.

Tutierov has played 13 times for the under-21s this season, scoring seven and assisting one. He has been named in the Black Cats’ Premier League matchday squad on four occasions but is yet to make his senior debut.

The winger has three caps for Ukraine under-21s, and the move would mark the next step in a steadily progressing campaign monitored by Sunderland’s academy and development staff.

Exeter are 14th in League One with 30 points from 24 matches. The proposed loan is expected to provide exposure to the physical and tactical demands of senior football while Sunderland continue to map his long-term pathway.
