Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi this summer.
They are preparing to strengthen at the back ahead of next season, and the Argentina international has emerged as a possible target.
Sensei is out of contract at the end of the season and is likely to leave Bournemouth. Several other clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation.
Tottenham are expected to reach out to his camp as they look to sign him for free. However, that will be easier said than done.
Barcelona consider Senesi a good low-cost option, and joining them ahead of Spurs would be more appealing.
Tottenham are fighting for Premier League survival and will need to stay up to boost their chances of signing top-flight players.
Qualifying for European football will also come in handy, and they will have to win the Champions League this season if they are to play on the continent next season.
They are not one of the favourites to go far in the competition this term and will have to beat Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 to have any hopes of springing a surprise.
Lack of European football could deal a huge blow to their chances of signing Senesi, but nothing can be ruled out yet.
The 28-year-old has played in 30 games across all competitions for the Cherries this term, weighing in with four assists.
The Argentine centre-back has played over 100 Premier League games, and Spurs could do with his huge experience and quality.
